Jumbo balloons now in new Sesame Street characters

Well, we've talked about the giant airwalker balloons that come in Big Bird and Elmo. Now, these aren't airwalkers, but I love that you can get giant balloons in more characters now. Including Super Grover! Hooray!

These balloons are at least 30 inches long (some as much at 39) so keep in mind the amount of space they'll take up. So no, you might want to reconsider ordering one of each! I'd pair one up with a collection of standard balloons in various colors.

One whopping Sesame Street birthday cupcake package!

OK - the first time I saw this Sesame Street Cakes Cupcakes - Do-It-Yourself Cupcake Package, I thought "68 pieces? Just how many cupcakes can two-year-olds eat!" Turns out, it's not meant to be for 68 cupcakes. Whew!

The package includes 50 Elmo cupcake liners (although, again, no need to actually make 50 cupcakes!), nine plastic cake picks of Elmo, Zoe and Big Bird, eight plastic rings of Cookie, Abby, Elmo and Big Bird, and candy confetti sprinkles. Turns out, that adds up to 68. Not enough to do 68 cupcakes for sure, but plenty of stuff to get you started with decorating a ton of Sesame Street cupcakes.

Fisher Price Singing Birthday Elmo

Great idea for some easy table decoration - and your child can play with it after the party is over! This Fisher Price Singing Birthday Elmo version of Elmo is just 14 inches high and runs on batteries so he can sing along for your child's birthday. (Note that the song isn't Happy Birthday; it's Elmo's own birthday song.) Squeeze his hand to get the music going.

They say it's for kids two and up, although there some reviews of people who gave it to a child for a first birthday. Keep in mind he's not really meant for a regular play toy, so he won't be as soft and cuddly as your typical Elmo stuffed plush toy. I'd say get him for the decoration and any play enjoyment your child gets out of him is just bonus.

Pop-up cake topper makes for the easiest Sesame Street birthday cake ever

Love, love love this!!! It's a Sesame Street Pop up Cake Kit with the entire Sesame Street gang ready to celebrate your birthday. There's Cookie, Abby, Bert and Ernie, Telly and, of course, Elmo. It folds out like a pop-up card and you just put it on the cake.

Because the pop-up cake topper is so busy, definitely think about a simple decorating scheme for the cake itself. I like the red frosting in the picture, but by the time you get it that bright, I think it starts to taste nasty. (Not to mention the staining it'll cause on your child!) I'm voting for just plain white with colorful sprinkles or dots and then colorful edgings.
