Alphabet theme for a Sesame Street birthday party

ABC, easy as 123 … . Nothing could be more Sesame Street than the alphabet. Singing it, learning it, saying it. The alphabet is a core theme for the show. So it also makes a great sub-theme for your Sesame Street birthday party.

It lets you bring in all the characters, music from the show and much more. To get us started, here's a great video of Elmo and Grover involving the alphabet!



Decorations for an alphabet themed party are pretty easy. You can make everyone a letter for the day, make gigantic letters for different stations (cake is brought to you by the letter "C") and check out a school supply store for alphabet bulletin board supplies. Add all that to an alphabet banner with your child's name and you're good to go.


Continue the theme with cupcakes - one for each letter. You can do a letter out of fondant to lay on top or you can put letters on toothpicks and post them in the cupcakes like little flags. And serve drinks for everyone in these cute alphabet tumblers - a great favor for them to take home.

The alphabet favor box includes a Sesame Street sticker sheet, a blowout, Elmo notepad, crayons, rubber ducky and glitter ball.
